Our Team

Naoko is a chef who designs clothing and Keith loves practicing martial arts and fitness. Together we have realized that we need to use our passion and skills to manifest goodness into our society. Our vision is to make a dojo which is also an art and community space. If our vision resonates with you, please contact us and join our mission or perhaps, even our team.

Keith

I am Keith from the USA. I began wrestling my freshman year of high school and have grappled ever since. Visiting Brazil, I met Eduardo Rocha, and embarked on the path of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I was introduced to Judo by Nate and Sayaka Torra of EBJI and I later earned my black belt while studying at Kodokan in Tokyo, Japan.

I hold Bachelors degree in Anthropology from University of California, Santa Cruz. I am a certified California massage practitioner from Mckinnon Institute with a specialization in Shiatsu through Iokai Institute, Tokyo Japan. And, I have a certification as a kettlebell fitness instructor.

My current ranks: Shodan - Judo and Black belt - Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Living a lifestyle of fitness and healthy activities, I enjoy helping others to feel safer, healthier and more at home in their body; their temple. I enjoy drumming and rhythm because of the primal nature of communications amongst human beings. All of these primary arts are expressions of my creative spirit.

Naoko

Hello!I’m Naoko from Japan.

I am a graduate of Tokyo Mode Gakuen, one of the most popular fashion schools in Tokyo. At the time of my graduation, I was interested in road biking and my first job was making patterns for professional road bikers, bicycle racers, and amateurs. I later shifted toward digital design, building websites and VR environments. Most recently, I completed the total VR- 3D environmental design conversion of the manga, First of the North Star.

With Motherhood, I realized the importance of ancient ways and my focus moved toward a more grounded, analog mind. This encouraged the furthering of my culinary skills, exploring the ways that foods are medicine, and learning food preparation and preservation techniques aimed at eliminating waste. I honor life and the energy of God in everything, “もったいない,” do not waste!

I always have passion to be creative.
